[Even if Katie Frey responds to something (say a tripped fuse) I will have to call Central Dispatch because I do not have access to the breaker room.] *Electric: In emergency, or when planned, we can run a cord through a borough staff office window.
There's an alarm at borough hall so we'll hear it. The market is always rain or shine, however if there's lightning or hazardous conditions, we need to close. Here is our lightning plan:
There's an alarm at borough hall so we'll hear it. If there's lightning, we will announce that everyone needs to clear out/wait in their cars for 1/2 hour.
Plan A: If after 1/2 hour there is no more lightning and the weather is clear, we will continue.
Plan B: If a 2nd lightning alarm goes off towards the end of the first 1/2 hour and it looks like it's not going to let up, we will close the market.
Plan C: If the weather is unpredictable, we will wait a complete hour before making the call to close the market - or keep it open. You (the vendors) will have the option to leave after a half hour of waiting.
HIGH WIND POLICY
If it looks like it's going to be a windy day...
Put tents up WITHOUT covers (just frames).
If winds are high, take tents down.
If objects are taking flight and present a danger, we need to close the market.
